Driven by a shared mission to counter local deforestation through direct, citizen-led action, founders David Lok and Mr. Moo established Green Tree Plantation as a strictly non-profit ecological initiative. Demonstrating their personal commitment to the cause, they self-funded over RM 415,000 to secure the reserve lease, repair access roads, build essential flood channels, and construct an on-site seedling nursery. Operating with zero financial return, their entire effort is dedicated to restoring 50 acres of lowland rainforest and creating a permanent gene bank for Malaysia’s endangered native flora.
We work hand-in-hand with local Orang Asli communities, tapping into their generational wisdom to guide our active forest nursing and restoration efforts. By blending their deep ecological knowledge with direct conservation work, we empower indigenous stewards as equal partners in rebuilding Malaysia’s lowland biodiversity.
